During the 2011 Volleyball European Championship – Women, UOSS has once again undertaken the unique project in volleyball world. With CEV permission and a great help of the Serbian Volleyball Federation, the livestream “from the referees’ point of view” was broadcasted from Belgrade hall Pionir, during the semifinal and final matches, on the 1st and 2nd of October. Four cameras were recording these four matches in a slightly different way, focusing primarily on the referees.
Winners of three of these matches were decided in five sets, so we could say we were lucky regarding the quantity of the recorded material. The interviews with the referees and the officials who took part at this competition were also broadcasted and their subject was, once again, the refereeing.
Unfortunately, because of the TV rights, UOSS could not broadcast this referee livestream publicly. During the European Championship, the live broadcast was available only to the members of FIVB, CEV and the international referees with the special invitation. The videos are publicly available now, and you can watch them here.
